Remember Tech Genus were designed to Synchro Summon. 


This deck CAN but doesn't synchro summon all that often. 

It's the combination of some of the most annoying cards in ONE deck.

The T.G monsters (And Tengu) don't exactly want to be destroyed, but they replace themselves when they do.

Effectively thinning your deck (to draw more of those annoying cards), maintaining hand/field presence while your opponent plays a normal game of Yu-Gi-Oh!

With this deck, you're not even playing against the opponent. 


You're playing a game of solitaire, seeing how often can you draw ONE monster and the rest "hate" in your opening hand. 


It doesn't matter if your opponent destroys any of your monsters (unless its Barbaros), whatever dies, gets replaced. 

TG1-EM1 is one of the most annoying cards every printed. I'm glad it targets so Forbidden Lance stops it but if you don't have it, prepare to get scraped.

With all decks that can MAIN Skill Drain, T.G does it better. Because it doesn't hurt your monsters whatsoever. And Barbaros will become 3000 with a active Drain.

There isn't really much that can be done about it once it gets going.

I think the primary reason this deck won is because of the relentless backrow this deck runs. Take that and the floaters, Horn of Phantom Beast in addition to being able to synchro summon (if necessary). The deck runs very little monsters and 15+ traps, so once one of your floaters dies (replaces itself), thinning your deck. Allowing you to draw more hate, and pissing your opponent the FUCK off.

P.S.: This deck (and ALL variants) is the #1 reason for rage quits on DN. 

I know from experience

I don't think Striker getting Limited (March 1st) killed the deck, I think semi-limiting Tengu did.
